Here is a free sample letter that you can use to terminate your legal protection insurance contract in Germany.

You can cancel your legal insurance policy by submitting a termination request in writing. You must write the letter in German and send it via a registered post or fax it.

As a foreigner in Germany, it might be tricky to write a letter in German. Thus, we wrote it for you. You can download the sample for free and use it to cancel your legal insurance contract.

Your letter must contain the following information.

• Your insurance number
• Explicitly mention the term "termination (Kündigung in German)"
• Reason for cancellation if you are using the special right to cancel the contract
• Your signature
